Eco 5 Mesh Filter

The carbon filters in this food waste recycling machine trap and absorb odor-causing molecules in your food before they hit the air.

To clean the filter under the unit lid, please follow the instructions below:

1. Open the unit lid.
2. Holding the metal grill with one hand on each side, and supporting the lid with your other fingers, pull the grate straight off, being careful that the rubber grommet in the centre of the grill doesn't pop out!
3. Remove the plastic mesh filter from behind the metal grill.
4. Clean mesh with warm water and dish soap, using a bottle brush (or similar) to clean the screen.
5. Wipe the inside of the unit lid with a damp cloth.
6. Clean the metal grate with warm water and soap and make sure it's fully dry before inserting back in.
7. Insert the mesh filter to the inside of the unit lid, or directly over the back prong.
8. Ensure the rubber gasket is inserted in the hole of the metal plate (the smaller ring of the grommet faces the inside of the bucket).
9. Snap the metal plate onto the unit lid.
