Learn how FoodCycler transforms your food scraps - and why it’s a better way to manage food waste in today’s kitchen.
How It WorksFoodCycler processes food waste in three stages - heating, grinding and cooling - all in one cycle.
1. Heating
FoodCycler heats food scraps to remove moisture, beginning the process of reducing their volume and creating a dry by-product.
2. Grinding
Our patented Vortech™ Grinding Technology breaks down food scraps into small particles, helping create a dry, finely processed by-product.
3. Cooling
The final stage cools the by-product before the cycle is complete, making it ready to remove from the bucket.

Built for your kitchen
FoodCycler is designed for everyday use in the home, processing food scraps without adding unnecessary noise to your kitchen.

Every FoodCycler comes equipped with carbon filters that capture and absorb odors during processing. When filters age, simply swap them out.

One button. No complicated settings or modes. No enzymes or additives required. No plumbing or installation - plug it in, add your scraps and press start.

Remove the bucket to collect food scraps where you need it, then return it to the FoodCycler when you're ready to run a cycle. The lid helps keep scraps contained between uses.

Made for indoor use and designed to fit naturally into your kitchen and your routine.

FoodCycler is a purpose-built kitchen appliance designed specifically for managing household food waste. Our patented FoodCycler Technology™ combines thoughtful appliance design with technology engineered for food waste recycling — including Vortech™ Grinding Technology in the Eco 3 and Eco 5.

The output from your food waste is a dry soil-like by-product we call Foodilizer. Because it contains nutrients, it can have many uses:
On average, a cycle takes 4 to 9 hours to complete. That means it's easy to run a cycle overnight and wake up to a dry byproduct, Foodilizer.
Every FoodCycler is equipped with carbon filters that remove odors during processing — including strong-smelling food waste like fish, seafood, and old cheese. If you notice any strong odor, it's usually a sign that the filters need replacing. Replacement carbon filter refills are available in the accessories shop.
Maintenance is a breeze. For everyday use, simply run a cycle, and it typically clears out the residue on its own. For stubborn dried food waste, soak the bucket in soapy water or run it through the dishwasher. The inner bucket is dishwasher-safe.
Filter lifespan depends on how frequently you cycle and what types of food you process. If you start noticing odors during a cycle, that's the clearest sign it's time to replace them. Replacement carbon filter refills are available in the shop.
The Eco 3 uses 0.9 kWh per cycle. The Eco 5 uses 1.5 kWh per cycle. Both are designed to be energy-efficient — processing your food waste without significantly impacting your electricity bill.
Yes. The FoodCycler is designed for home kitchen use. Simply place it on the countertop or tuck it away.
One thing to keep in mind: the blades inside the bucket are sharp, so avoid reaching your hands inside. Always follow the instructions provided in the box.
If your household has 1–3 people, the Eco 3 is the right fit. It holds up to 3.5 litres of food waste per cycle and uses 0.9 kWh. For households of 4 or more, the Eco 5 offers a larger 5-litre capacity and the same Vortech® grinding technology. Not sure? Use our model comparison tool to find your match.
