Life. Changing.
Only a week in… and this has improved my life so much! Keeping food scraps on the countertop has been a hassle for two years as we don’t have access to a recycle centre less than 20 miles round trip, and outdoor composting is not an option due to bears. I can fill it every day or every other day and run a cycle.

Perfect
I gave this as a gift to my girlfriend. She is a culinary school grad and a gardener. It’s built exceedingly well and promises years of use.

Impressive
As a private chef, I have a lot of food scraps while prepping. This is amazing — set it and forget it! No going outside to turn the tumbler. I use the food compost for my above-ground garden.

HIGHLY recommend this device!
We have a large compost container plus two rotating tumblers. We’ve tried getting our compost to mature, but it takes forever. We bought this unit a week ago and have used it twice already — I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT.

Food waste now makes me happy
The FoodCycler® effectively and quietly turns food waste into what looks like instant coffee in texture, and significantly reduces the volume — and it doesn’t smell. Amazing product. Recommending to all my friends!

It's clean, quiet, cute, and works better than I'd hoped
The Eco 3™ has been perfect for us. The canister is attractive enough to sit on the counter until it’s ready to be processed. Capacity is about two days’ worth of scraps, it runs quietly, and opening it after a cycle is still a delight.

Straight up just does the job
This thing is the best kitchen appliance I ever bought. It is super easy to use and does exactly what it is supposed to do.

Incredible food waste recycler.
I love this thing. Our recycling game has improved tremendously. Everything we have put into it comes out looking like black dirt.

FAQs
Food waste recycler machines can handle most food scraps, such as vegetable peels, pits, eggshells, stems and leftovers, but not every machine can handle bones, tough leaves like pineapple, processed oils or cheese. FoodCycler® patented Vortech® technology is a game changer: unlike many machines, it can handle almost any type of food waste except large beef bones.

Food waste recyclers are safe to use in the home kitchen but should be handled with care. Make sure to read the label and follow the instructions provided. Avoid reaching hands into the bucket, as the inner blades are very sharp.
A typical food waste recycler can handle as much food waste as the bucket is built for, so check the capacity and never fill beyond the designated fill line. Depending on the size, most food waste recycler machines can handle 1–2 kg of food waste per day. FoodCycler® offers different sizes with large and small capacities, so you can find the right machine for your needs.
The energy consumption levels of food waste recycler machines vary widely, usually in the range of 1–2 kWh per cycle. FoodCycler® energy consumption ranges from about 0.9–1.5 kWh per cycle, depending on the model.
Food waste recyclers vary in their ability to capture odour production. FoodCycler® units are equipped with carbon filters for odourless processing. Odours from food waste run through the carbon filters, which absorb and remove smells from even strong scraps like fish and seafood.
Quality-made food waste recyclers need little maintenance, and most are covered by a manufacturer’s warranty. Check the owner’s manual to understand what can and cannot be cleaned and how best to clean each part. The most common care step is wiping the exterior and interior components with a cloth after regular use. Most buckets only need cleaning if food waste gets stuck.
FoodCycler® sells the InfinityBrush™ brush, which is sold with a bucket and lets you safely clean stubborn bits inside the FoodCycler® bucket. Even without the InfinityBrush™, you can clean your bucket by filling it with boiling water, adding baking soda and leaving it to soak for a few hours.

It’s important to recycle food waste because it stops food waste from entering the landfill, where it breaks down and creates methane, a dangerous greenhouse gas. Methane released into the atmosphere is significantly more harmful than carbon dioxide, contributing to global warming and climate change.
Recycling food waste diverts food from landfill and the harmful methane emissions it produces. Instead, the by-product can be mixed with soil and used to boost plants — closing the loop on food waste.
When food waste is recycled, you create a nutrient-rich by-product that can be added to backyard compost or used as a soil amendment to enrich soil and help plants grow.
Foodilizer®, the by-product from the FoodCycler®, is a research-backed soil amendment and compost feedstock. Foodilizer® is packed with nutrients that plants need, including nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium (NPK), which help plants grow stronger with more resilient roots.

There are currently no local regulations or incentives for using food waste recyclers in North America. Food Cycle Science® (the company that owns FoodCycler®) offers a FoodCycler® Municipal Program for communities and multi-residential buildings that don’t have viable food waste solutions.
