Why is food sticking in my bucket?

This usually means your scraps are too wet. Try balancing your bucket with drier materials such as veggie stems, eggshells, paper towel, or the end product from your last cycle. This helps ensure smoother operation.

My bucket is squeaking during a cycle.

Occasionally, a squeaking sound during operation can result from bucket contents being too dense or overly moist. This creates additional resistance on the mixing paddle. To help minimize this, we recommend mixing in dry materials to balance the load and improve overall processing.
If the sound continues:

  1. Remove the bucket and run a ¼ cycle with the bucket empty.
  2. If the sound stops, we suggest thoroughly cleaning the bucket using the steps outlined in "How do I clean the bucket?" below, and ensuring a balanced load as described in "Why is food sticking in my bucket?" above.
